Catherine Nichols

Author and Independent Editor

In my more than 20 years in publishing, I've worn a bunch of hats. Among my many titles have been proofreader, copyeditor, project editor, and senior editor. As the author of more than 60 books for readers of all ages, I've written on a wide variety of topics, including art, animals, and ASL. And that's just starting with the As! When not writing and editing, I teach fiction writing and provide editorial services to aspiring writers. I also blog at The Cath in the Hat. And recently, I've donned yet another hat. I'm the copy chief for Healthy Aging magazine.

I'm a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, The Lewis Carroll Society of North America, and The Authors Guild. I live in the Philadelphia area with my husband and our much pampered pug.

Alice's Wonderland dives down the rabbit hole and looks at the dazzling ways that Wonderland has been imagined by artists, filmmakers, writers, and more. Get a behind-the-scenes looks at how the books were created, meet Alice Liddell, the inspiration for the fictional Alice, and view the original manuscript copy of Alice in Wonderland, illustrated in Carroll's own hand.

My most recent book , Alice's Wonderland: A Visual Journey through Lewis Carroll's Mad, Mad World (Race Point), comes out in November 2014.
